Join Twyla as she photographs a mother and daughter in a styled, emotive photoshoot at golden hour, in Piedmont Park. She will begin by going over camera settings for directional and backlit images that enable her to capture details to recover dramatic skies in edits. She will also discuss different ways of utilizing the light and posing for the biggest emotional impact. Lastly, she'll discuss the importance of styling and color theory in the clothing she chooses for her sessions and keeping a client closet. For one hour, you will photograph alongside Twyla as she uses emotive prompts with a mother and daughter to create dramatic, storytelling imagery utilizing many different lighting scenarios. You'll receive emotional prompt cards to review prior to the class which can then be utilized in your own shoots. The class will conclude with 15 minutes for any Q&A or additional shooting demonstrations. Twyla recommends bringing a wide angle lens and has also found the 85mm focal length works great in live, group shooting demonstrations.
