Join Ben Hartley as he shows you how he photographs every wedding as if it were his own. This includes how to approach photographing a wedding, how to prepare the couple beforehand, and how to manage expectations. He will cover different lighting scenarios that allow him to create breathtaking images. Additionally, Ben will cover his best business wedding practices, workflow, and how to avoid wedding day disasters.  

Learning Objectives:

Artistic Soul: Creating and Executing Art-Driven Portraits

Join Kelsey as she demonstrates her systematic approach of how to plan and execute styled, art-driven portraits. Kelsey will share her strategy from the inspiration and brainstorming stages, through the planning process which includes sourcing models, location and wardrobe. You will then have the opportunity to shoot alongside Kelsey as she shares the process of how to pull every detail together and bring creative visions to life. She will show you her techniques for shooting and posing in this class with 3 models (one real couple and one female model). You will gain a greater understanding of how to utilize light, angles and camera settings. She will also discuss everything from posing to post-processing (workflow, editing).

For this class you should bring your camera and up to two portrait lenses.

Learning Objectives:

- Learn how to concept and organize styled shoots, no matter the scale
- Learn to build a vision based on things from everyday life
- Learn how to reach out to other creatives to collaborate and execute shoots
- Learn how to think more creatively "on your toes" when posing and shooting

D'Arcy Benincosa will teach you her step by step superpower method for crafting breathtaking viral images for Instagram, Pinterest, and Publication. D'Arcy has taught hundreds of photographers across the globe how to tap into their deep creativity and innovation to craft something so far beyond your average "styled shoot". She'll teach you how to take your compositions from mediocre to magnificent. With over 14 years of teaching experience, D'Arcy knows how important it is for you to build your portfolio and improve your craft; this hand on shooting class will do just that. This styled shoot includes luxe dresses and florals with a focus on fashion and portraiture.

D'Arcy uses a 50mm lens for most of her portrait work, but any portrait lens works for this class.
