Great images are not only created at golden hour, but can also be created at any time of the day, in any light. Join Mickie and her child model for this 90 minute class where you will take a walk through Atlanta with a focus on how to best utilize difficult lighting scenarios. Mickie will show how she tackles hard light, dappled light, and midday sun to still create compelling images. She will show what she looks for compositionally, and how she positions her subject to capture her subject in the environment while maximizing the light that is present.
Mickie will be shooting with a 28-75mm lens and recommends having a similar zoom lens or prime lenses that encompass both the wide and telephoto range. Experience shooting in manual is preferred, but Mickie will give out her settings so that you may dial those in as well. Learning Objectives:
- Learn what the challenges are when using difficult light and how to minimize those challenges - Learn the advantages to working with difficult light and what compositional elements they should be looking for to create pleasing images - Learn how to look for pleasing color combinations and contrast, seeking out environments that will complement the subject
