Harnessing Light: A Photographer's Guide to Golden Hour Light Play FILLING
Limited Capacity filling up

Harnessing light is all about controlling and manipulating light to make it do what you want it to! Photographers love light, and it's always fun to learn new creative techniques to incorporate light into your personal and client work. Together with Dana you will explore the many techniques that can be used to harness light. Backlight, rim light, lens flares, prisms, fractals, ring of fire, water bokeh, reflections and shadows. The opportunities for creativity are endless! In addition, you will learn Dana's process for incorporating light into a story and using it to create a mood that matches that story.
Dana will bring all of the materials to demonstrate each technique before breaking up into small shooting groups. The shooting groups will rotate, and you will have ample time to practice your light harnessing on the two child models. Dana will also demonstrate how she works through a session with a child to keep them engaged and having fun. Everyone is sure to walk away with some new tricks for harnessing the light!
This program will take place outdoors during golden hour. Attendees should have experience shooting in manual mode, and are welcome to bring whichever camera and lens they are most comfortable shooting with.
