Family Is Home LIMITED
Limited Capacity seats available

Photographing a family in their home environment while getting natural, emotive connection can be tricky. In this shoot along, attendees will watch, then practice Kim's techniques for shooting a lifestyle family session indoors from start to finish. This includes how Kim goes into a home for the first time and decides which rooms to shoot in, and how she chooses what elements of the house are interesting to add to their story of family. Attendees will learn where to place their subjects based on limited directional light, how to pose families in areas with unique architectural or design elements, and most importantly, how to foster genuine connection and emotion between subjects using games, play, patience, and more.

Please bring a lens with a focal length of 24-50mm (preferably) to this class.

Learning Objectives:

- Learn how to quickly make a unique, yet consistent, shot list for an indoor family session by doing a pre-session walk-through
- Learn where to place subjects based on the quality and direction of light
- Learn some key family poses to use inside and when to use them to maximize session flow
- Learn new games and tricks  to foster a genuine, emotional connection between family members
