Timeless Children's Portraiture FULL
Limited Capacity full

Join Meg Loeks as she demonstrates how to create classic children's portraiture that transcends time using the natural environment around you. This program will go in-depth on the power of color theory and styling. You will study the importance of color choices and texture. In addition, Meg will demonstrate how minimalism and the theory: less is often more, can create powerful, sentimental imagery. Learn how to enhance depth in-camera by layering and framing. Through careful observation of your subject and the world around you, explore ways to visually guide your viewer through your frame with intention. Lastly, learn how to gently lead your subject to good light while still capturing natural emotions and candid moments. From utilizing nature to seclude your subject, to capturing nostalgic images on a dock, of simpler times and good 'ol fashion play, discover ways to slow down, observe, and strengthen your frame in a timeless way.

Plan to bring a wide angle lens and a longer (85-200mm) focal length is optional.

Learning Objectives:

- Learn the value of complementary colors and the importance of texture to visually strengthen their images
- Learn how to seclude their subject through layering and framing utilizing the environment around them
- Discover ways to identify good light, study how it falls on their subject and gently guide their subject if needed
