Dancing in the Street FULL
Limited Capacity full

Follow Kate as she explores an urban environment to shoot dancers in natural light! What locations make great photography backgrounds? How does one choose locations in an urban environment and how do buildings affect the light at different times of the day? Learn all of her shooting tips and tricks all while working with gorgeous dancers and learning to pose and capture dynamic ballet images.

You will have the ability to shoot along as Kate photographs a dancer in midtown Atlanta near the High Museum of Art. Students should have a basic understanding of manual mode in natural light settings, but Kate is here to help! Any lenses can be used for a variety of looks. Kate prefers to shoot a 24mm prime lens and either an 85mm prime lens or a 70-200mm.

Learning Objectives:

- Learn how to select locations in an urban environment
- Learn how dance photography differs from other portrait photography, in terms of gear, settings, and location selection
- Learn how to pose and shoot dancers to highlight their beauty
