Dancing in the Street with Off Camera Flash FILLING
Limited Capacity filling up

Follow Kate as she explores an urban environment to shoot dancers!
What locations make great photography backgrounds? How do buildings affect the light? Kate will cover OCF basics, gear selection and how to harness artificial light to create works of art any time of the day! Learn all of her shooting tips and tricks including how to pose a gorgeous dancer and capture dynamic ballet images.

You will have the ability to shoot along as Kate photographs a dancer in midtown. As this is an OCF class, transmitters will be rotated among attendees for each to have an opportunity for shooting time. You should have a decent understanding and working knowledge of manual mode in natural light settings.

Kate is here to help with the transition to OCF! Any lenses can be used for a variety of looks. Kate prefers to shoot a 24mm prime lens and either an 85mm prime lens or a 70-200mm.

Learning Objectives:

- Learn the basics of OCF from selecting the right gear to dialing in exposure and light placement for the look you want
- Learn how dance photography differs from other portrait photography, in terms of gear, settings, and location selection
- Learn how to pose and shoot dancers to highlight their beauty
